Captain Kent Hendrick, who has been exploring the Waccamaw River since childhood, will take us from the marina to Georgetown for lunch (on your own). Along the way, he will point out sites like the former rice plantations and Sandy Island and share his knowledge about the waterways and the animals who inhabit them. Meet at the marina at 9:45 to board his pontoon at 10 a.m. The tour should last 4-5 hours. Activity Level 2.
Level 2: Moderate—You like a balanced approach to travel. Walking up to 1-2 miles over the course of a day or standing for 30 minutes is no problem for you. You can handle a variety of terrains to moderate hills with ease and without assistance. You can climb two flights of stairs with ease.
